A HostPapa Review: The Ugly
This HostPapa review will focus primarily on what the company does that makes it so unappealing to many prospective customers, and why so many current ones will urge people to avoid the company at all costs. The main cause of this ill will is the pricing policy HostPapa employs. They state that many of their services, especially those related to domains, are free. However, many actions are particularly expensive. Transferring a domain, for example, costs nearly $30, and HostPapa fails to do this with any semblance of a schedule.
The process of canceling a subscription is also ridiculous. They charge again about $30, and take as long as they please to cancel the service. This can often take months, when it should only take a few days at the most. They seem to do this to try to force customers to pay for another year of service, which is downright unethical, if not possibly illegal. HostPapa has, therefore, gained a particularly poor reputation in the world of web hosting companies.
